New York Giants
Giants fans, raise your hands. How many of you thought you'd be in this position of rooting for the defending Super Bowl champions when the season started last year with Dallas scoring all those points? Lending credence to the "dreams do come true" position, the Giants ended last year's improbable run with a resounding victory over the then undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. The next question is, what do you do for an encore?

Are the Giants expected to successfully defend their title or will they give way to other teams like the Cowboys and the Patriots? Not if Eli Manning and company have anything to say about their team's fortunes. As the younger Manning continues to outgrow the shadow of his older brother in Indianapolis, the Giants continue to get better and better, and as long as he has players like Brandon Jacobs, Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer to distribute the ball to, the Giants offensive attack should remain potent.

If they want to continue their unexpected success, the Giants will have to find a suitable replacement for the now-retired Michael Strahan. While the presence of Osi Umenyiora will offset some of the Giants pass-rushing woes, they probably won't be as dominant as last season. However, if the offense stays as healthy as last season, there isn't any reason the Giants shouldn't be in a position to represent the NFC when it comes time for Super Bowl XLIII. Make sure you don't miss your chance to watch the Giants defend their title during the 2008 NFL season.

Giants Stadium
After calling four different stadiums home in their first 50 years in the National Football League, the NY Giants moved into Giants Stadium in 1976. The idea of playing at a stadium built in the Meadowlands first attracted the NY Giants' attention when they realized that they could provide 15,000 more seats and help meet the increasing demands of the fans without a major switch in location...more Giants Stadium info
